Black movie directors set box office records.

F8: The Fate of the Furious movie Director F. Gary Gray is credited with making a product that sold $100 million in theater seats when the movie opened April 14th over the Easter Weekend.  Mr. Gray’s collective work since has pulled in $1.21 billion world wide. His projects include  “Straight Outta Compton,” “Fantastic Four,” “Ride Along,” and the “Fast and Furious” series.

Novice director Jordan Peele and his hit movie “GET OUT” broke box office records by becoming the movie made by a Black director to gross $100 million off of its opening.
